Biter was originally intended to be a full length album. Moonshifter hit the studio in 2019 with an arsenal of 10 new songs we felt really strong about. But due to budget constraints the plan was to record 5 songs in one session, and return at a later juncture to record the other 5. Whilst many of the stronger songs were chosen in the first 5, some real beauties were chosen to wait for a later day. Sadly, the second recording never to this day (so far) eventuated.
Some personal issues in the band, some tragic circumstances out of our control, it just wasn't meant to be. The band's future looked unstable.
So the band decided to release each of the 5 singles one at a time, over the course of the next year.
However as the last single to be released (Biter) approached, it was decided that it should be released as the lead single of an all encompassing EP that would bring the collective as a whole, and what we thought made a pretty little ripping EP.
Whether the album we first envisioned would of had the title 'Biter', we are not sure, probably not, but in the end it suits this biting little nugget of rock!

As for the other 5 songs, only a couple were very roughly demoed, and the others find some existence in fragmented iphone recordings and in our memories for now...But who knows maybe one day they'll see the light.

But for now enjoy Biter, its one we are pretty damn proud of.
