Hey Little Girl (Single)

Hey Little Girl was the first single released from the set of new recordings we did in 2019, following our debut album Love Lust Fire Dust.

The song had a slightly more commercial rock sound, a serious undertone but moody and catchy at the same time.

Riff wise, it was written by Mark after he watched the Bohemian Rhapsody bio pic, admiring how Queen were always able to come up with catchy riffs.

But the vocal melody and lyrics was all Lach, and Wayne just came in over the top busy as hell just popping in and out all classy with smooth licks.

Lyrically the song was about facing hardships and challenges in the modern world. We strive for our dreams which aren’t always fulfilled. Its that much harder for the women of these current times. The ‘fearless girl’ statue on the cover art aimed to show that while there is still a long way to go, we are on a path striving to bridge the gap.

But more generally the song is about hope and self belief.
